Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage

Back in 1964, Oklahoma businessman Max Genet and his associates envisioned a golf community in what is today the heart of world-renowned Rancho Mirage. They purchased land, and the first course was completed by golf architect Desmond Muirhead in 1972. “The Old Course”, which hosts the annual PGA’s Kraft Nabisco Championship, was renamed “Dinah Shore Tournament Course” in honor of the eponymous legendary actress and long-time resident of Mission Hills. In 1979, golf legend Arnold Palmer designed Mission Hills Country Club’s second course. A third one, designed by famed architect Pete Dye, was added in 1988. Originally called the “Dinah Shore Course”, it was renamed “Pete Dye Challenge Course”.
In addition to 3 diverse championship golf courses, Mission Hills Country Club offers a 17-acre full golf practice area, including dual-sided driving range, 10,000-square-foot chipping green, 4 putting greens and a multitude of practice bunkers.
